It is Sunday here in China and this morning we started off by going to the International Church. The singing and the sermon were done in both English and in Chinese. It was a very interesting service and it was good to be with fellow Christians halfway around the world from our home.
After the service we went to the Jade factory and saw some beautiful work done with Jade. They gave us a tour and went through the entire process from beginning to end. After that we went to lunch in a restaurant that was attached to a factory where they made vases and other fine art works. The meal there was great and I had some of the best hot and sour soup I have ever tasted.
We wrapped up the day with a trip to the Great Wall and what a sight it is to stand on top of and view the country. Billie and I climbed to the top of the first tower and that was quite a feat to accomplish. The steps were different in height and one might be only two inches high and the next thirty inches high. We stopped to pray and meditate several times along the way, gave us a change to catch our breath if you know what I mean.
The group had the bus driver stop at a Kentucky Fried Chicken for supper and it was very good. The people have been very nice and helpful and we are looking forward to tomorrow. We spend the day going to the Forbidden City and the Pearl Palace before we fly to Guangzhou. One day closer to Ashley and loving evey minute of the trip.

May God bless and keep you all.
Love Mike & Billie
